Before sharpening my skates for the first time, they ask me where I skate, and suggest some changes that help depending on which ice surface I will be skating on(seems to make a difference depending on how hard or soft the ice is). Also, their knowledge of the equipment has helped quite a bit as well. They helped me pick out a more appropriate stick (lighter and more flexable for a female), which has helped with my puck control and shooting, and they are always willing to special order women's equipment not found anywhere in the city."
